Terms of service

These terms apply to all purchases from Skin Story. By placing an order on our website, you agree to them.

1. About us

Skin Story is an online beauty and self-care store based in South Africa. You can contact us at sunsignandco@gmail.com or through the contact page on our website.

2. Products

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Small differences in colour or finish compared with the photos are normal. Our products are cosmetic and personal-care tools. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition. Always follow the instructions included with each product, and stop using a product if it causes irritation.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are in South African rand (ZAR). Payment is taken in full at checkout through our secure payment providers. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already placed.

4. Orders

Your order is confirmed once payment is successful and you receive a confirmation email. We may cancel an order and give a full refund if an item is unavailable, a pricing error has occurred, or we suspect fraud.

5. Shipping and delivery

Delivery times and costs are explained in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed, and delays caused by couriers or customs are outside our control.

6. Returns and refunds

Returns, refunds and faulty items are handled as set out in our Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

7. Cooling-off period

In line with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, you may cancel your order without reason within 7 days of receiving it. Our Refund Policy gives you longer (14 days) for unused items and explains how to return them.

8. Use of our website

You may not use our website for anything unlawful or to interfere with how it works. Content on the site belongs to Skin Story or its suppliers and may not be copied without permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. This does not limit or exclude our liability for gross negligence, or any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, including your rights regarding defective or unsafe goods.
